Shading Geometric Forms
Today’s essential question: How can I shade a geometric form to create the illusion of space?
We will begin this project by practicing shading on a value scale and shading three geometric forms.
Helpful Hints:
Keep in mind where your light source is.
When shading a rounded object follow the curve. It will help to create a full and rounded appearance.
Use the side of the pencil lead rather than the point to create a smoother transition.
This practice sheet will count as a homework grade. If you do not finish it in class please bring it home to complete it.
